Methodology

Last updated July 8, 2026

This page explains, in plain English, how roo2ya reports and where our data comes from. We aim to be transparent so you can judge our work.

The Aperture method

Every market story is framed through two lenses. The close-up reports what happened — the facts, the move, the on-chain or price event — tightly sourced. The wide shot explains what it means — the context and the honest implications. The Aperture is a framing and clarity tool. It is not a recommendation, a price target, or a bull-versus-bear call, and every Aperture block carries a “Not financial advice” line. Both lenses are argued specifically and honestly; we never load one side or disguise a call.

Where our market data comes from

roo2ya’s live data is keyless and quota-free:

  • Price, 24-hour change, volume and sparklines — Binance market data (klines and 24-hour ticker).
  • Market capitalisation — derived from the live price multiplied by a curated circulating-supply registry we maintain. This can differ from other sources; we keep supplies current but they are estimates.
  • Fear & Greed Index — Alternative.me.
  • DeFi TVL, stablecoin supply, RWA and staking — DefiLlama.
  • Spot ETF flows — Farside Investors.
  • Futures positioning (Commitments of Traders) — the U.S. CFTC.
  • Ethereum gas — a public Ethereum RPC.

Data is cached briefly and, if a source is momentarily unavailable, we serve the last known-good value and label it — or render nothing. We never fabricate a price, supply, reserve or return.

How our technical readings are computed

Indicators shown on coin pages — moving averages, RSI, MACD, support and resistance, volatility, drawdown and the summary “posture” — are computed by us directly from Binance daily closes, not taken from a black-box provider. They are descriptive summaries of recent price behaviour, published so you can see the market’s state at a glance. They are never a forecast or a recommendation.

How often data updates

Prices, 24-hour changes and volumes refresh continuously from live sources and are cached only briefly. Slower-moving figures — supply, TVL, ETF flows, Commitments of Traders — update on the cadence their source publishes (for example, CFTC positioning is weekly and ETF flows are daily). Each desk names its source so you can judge freshness.

Limitations

We are transparent about what our data is not. Market capitalisation depends on a curated circulating-supply figure and can differ from other trackers. Prices reflect a single large venue (Binance) rather than a volume-weighted global average, so they may differ slightly from other sites. Third-party feeds can lag or briefly fail. None of this is ever fabricated to fill a gap — when we cannot stand behind a number, we label it or leave it out.

Corrections

Accuracy matters more than being first. When we get something wrong we fix it and log it publicly on our corrections page.
