About Lido DAO
Lido (LDO) is the largest liquid-staking protocol. Normally, staking a proof-of-stake asset like Ether locks it up; Lido lets users stake and receive a “liquid” token in return (such as stETH) that represents their staked position and can still be used across DeFi while earning staking rewards.
LDO is Lido’s governance token, used to vote on how the protocol operates. Lido handles a very large share of all staked Ether, making it a major piece of Ethereum’s staking landscape.
Liquid staking is genuinely useful, but Lido’s large share of staked ETH has raised concerns about staking centralisation on Ethereum. LDO’s value is tied to governance and the protocol’s standing, and it is volatile like all crypto.
Close-up — What happened
Lido is the dominant liquid-staking protocol: stake ETH, receive a liquid token like stETH usable in DeFi while earning rewards. LDO is its governance token.
Wide shot — What it means
Liquid staking is a real convenience, but Lido’s large share of staked ETH raises centralisation concerns for Ethereum itself. LDO’s value is governance-tied and volatile.
The Aperture brings the close-up and the wide shot into focus. Not financial advice.

Lido DAO FAQ
What is Lido?
Lido is the largest liquid-staking protocol. It lets users stake assets like Ether and receive a liquid token that can be used in DeFi while still earning staking rewards. Its token is LDO.
What is liquid staking?
Liquid staking gives you a tradable token representing your staked position, so your capital is not fully locked while it earns rewards.
Why is Lido’s size debated?
Because Lido handles a large share of all staked Ether, some worry it concentrates too much of Ethereum’s staking in one protocol.
Is Lido a good investment?
roo2ya does not give financial advice. LDO is volatile and governance-tied. Do your own research.
Where does roo2ya’s Lido price come from?
Live price, 24-hour change and volume come from Binance market data; market cap is the live price multiplied by a curated circulating-supply figure.
