Accuracy matters more than being first. When we make a factual error, we correct it promptly and transparently, and we log material corrections here.
Our corrections policy
If we publish something factually wrong, we fix it as soon as we can and we are open about what changed. We distinguish between minor fixes — a typo, a broken link, a formatting slip — which we simply correct, and material corrections — a wrong figure, a misstated fact, or anything that could change how a reader understands a story — which we correct and log on this page with the date and a short description of what changed. We do not quietly edit the record.

A note on live data
Prices, market caps and other live figures update continuously and are drawn from third-party sources; a value that has since moved is not an error. Where a data source is momentarily unavailable we label the last known-good value or show nothing — we never fabricate a figure. How each number is sourced is set out in our methodology.
